TF2: Meet The Sniper 1

As always, Valve has done a brilliant job with yet another Meet The * video

Firefox 3 Has Launched! Sorta. 0

Thats right, after all that waiting Firefox 3 has finally launched today! Mozilla is trying to set a world record for most software downloads in one day but they are having issues keeping their servers online. While you wait for their servers to come back online, Lifehacker has a great Power User Guide and list of Top 10 Features for Firefox 3.

Cock Puncher? 0

This is a great fake trailer that is part of The Onion Movie that came out on June 3rd. It’s a pretty funny movie and definitely worth watching. There really is no way to explain this video except to watch it.

I don’t think you have the balls

Spore’s Fruit Fucker 0

Hey, found this on the Penny Arcade news feed. Just let the image do itself justice.

The Fleshy Fruit Fucker

Brian Crecente over at Kotaku attempted to put together a Fruit Fucker with the tool, and the results are surprisingly accurate. It’s substantially more disturbing than the original in two key respects: first, the entire creature is sheathed in moist flesh. Second, where one would ordinarily find its steel prong, there is instead a drooping sharkmouth full of razor sharp fangs.

Saints Row 2 trailer takes a stab at our beloved GTA IV 0

Incase you don’t know, Saints Row is the cartoony, over-the-top grand theft auto alternative. The first Saints Row actually beat the GTA series to the next gen platforms, but it was really just like a next gen San Andreas minus alot of awesome. Still though that game was very fun because it was next gen and SA was not. And I own it. But now we have Saints Row 2, which, in a desperate stab at sales, is attempting to entice everyone too ADD to enjoy GTA 4’s gritty, realistic new tone to buy their utterly ridiculous “gangster paradise” of a game which tries to incorporate everything GTA 4 didn’t. Well… you can just watch the trailer and let the title speak for itself.

Firefox Mobile Concept Video 0

Firefox Mobile Concept Video from Aza Raskin on Vimeo.
Wow, what a great idea for a mobile browser. If pulled off well this could be even better then Mobile Safari for the iPhone and iPod Touch. I’m not really sure what mobile OS they are thinking of developing this for but i’m guessing it’s going to be Android or Windows Mobile. For more information about “Fennec” check out Azra’s blog post about it.

Sony Ericsson C905 6

Well… I was going to get an iPhone but this has surfaced: (Link in picture for more information)

The Sony Ericsson Shiho has an 8.1 megapixel camera (yeah that’s right 8.1 holly SHIT) with both Xenon and LED flashes. It is also said to have GPS, TV out, DLNA certification and HSDPA. What a rap sheet indeed.

It is said to be announced on the 17th of June, so we will see if this amazing rumor pulls out to be true or if we will never see this again (but i’m putting my money on this one being announced, fo sho).

2D Google Maps Driving Sim 0

This is a lot like the Goggles “game” that game out a while ago, but for driving instead of flying. Basically you just have a car and you can drive around on top of a Google Map. Of course theirs no collision or anything like that, but it’s still kinda cool.

WWDC Summary Coverage 0

Today June the 9th of 2008 marks the day that good ol’ Steve Jobs introduced the beautiful iPhone to be coming out in 22 other countries. Just with our luck Canada made that list. What a day it is. What a day. Not only is it coming out internationally, it is a 3G version of the masked phone, a 2.0 version. With such new features as Enterprise support, the SDK finally being released, and as Steve put it “new end-user features”. Jobs stated this when explaining exchange “Exchange… as you know, we’ve done it… push email, calendars, contacts, auto-discovery, global address lookup, remote wipe, all this stuff built in. In addition we’ve worked with Cisco to build in their VPN services… all sorts of security demanded by the enterprise. Everything they told us they wanted, we built in.” Exchange support is a great addition for the iPhone, not much else.

The iPhone:

Now the SDK (or Software Development Kit) is a little bit of a bigger detail. At the last Apple event Jobs announced it and we got a ton of information for it, but not that many demos and real solid info. Today they talked about the new APIs and new tools in the kit and how they are going to work, such as Xcode. There are many quality apps being made for the new App Store that, once people create their wonderful app they have a place to upload it and possibly make some money off of the app. There were many demos of games, and actual apps such as Super Monkey Ball, an Ebay app, a Loopt app, TypePad (a mobile Blogging app, wink wink), an Associated Press app, Pangea Software has a couple of old Mac games (Cro-Mag Rally, I definitely remember playing this game on old eMacs), Moo Cow Music (a really cool app called Band that looks really cool with instruments, I’m stoked for this one), and a Blues Simulator, a MLB app, medical learning app, and a game that looks like God of War but on the iPhone, with graphics apparently in between the DS and PSP. An IM client is coming as well. The email app can now save pictures from emails, and bulk delete. There is a new scientific calculator.

MobileMe a new webapp which will now take over from .Mac, which is no more. MobileMe allows users to active syn all of their information from the iPhone, Mac or PC through a web application. So if you change your meeting in iCal it will sync with the “cloud” or webapp and will then sync to your iPhone or Outlook. With 20Gb of storage for $99 dollars for a year, hopefully it will do better than .Mac.

The iPhone will be going for $199 for the 8Gb model and $299 for the 16 Gb model and did I mention it’s comes July 11, in 22 countries.

Some great coverage at Engadget
