Milk better than Mushrooms? 0

I just had to. This thing is hilarious.

Pokemon Platinum? O-M-EFFING-GEE 0

Sure it looks like a “collectiony-two-in-one-thing” much like crystal and yellow versions… but still! It’s Pokemon! Common sense and manliness? FUCK THAT, I want a new pokemon game! WOO.

Dead Rising Comes to the Wii 0

Dead rising is coming to Wii this winter cleverly entitled: Dead Rising: Chop till you drop. For those of you who don’t already know, Dead Rising was a fan-fucking-tastic game on the Xbox 360 where you play as a bad-ass journalist named Frank West as you try to survive in a mall for 3 days so you can be helicoptered to safety. The catch is, that mall is filled with the zombified residence of an the entire small town of Willamette, Colorado. Dead Rising was one of my favourite 360 games and I hope that it can be faithfully recreated on the Wii. According to the article in Nintendo Power, Dead Rising: Chop till you drop is an exact port of the 360 version only with a few more weapons and some (hopefully appropriate) motion controls. They’ve decided to axe the photography element of the game apparently but I don’t believe that it’s much of a loss and will be completely looked over if the motion controls are done well and satisfyingly.

The only issue I can see with the port is that when Dead Rising was announced, Capcom decided it would show off how many zombies they could fit on screen with their fancy next-gen teknologie. They bragged upwards of 1000 zombies at a time, and to be honest some places in the game there probably could have been close to 1000 zombies and the game never hitched up; it was a hell of an achievement. The obvious hardware deficiency in the Wii could hamper the awesome that was having 1000 zombies bounce off the hood of your car in the underground maintenance tunnels, but the developers goal is apparently to have somewhere around 100 zombies on the Wii. Which, if the game is ported properly, should not be a noticeable detriment.

Lamest Gamefly Ad ever. Torn and scanned straight from latest nintendo magazine. 3

I know it’s dumb and pointless but I just had to, and I’m a mean spirited person who had nothing better to do.

Yoshi beat 0

Sorry that I’m posting so many videos but someone I’m subscribed to on youtube made this and I just had to share.

New Spiderman game gives incredible trailer, looks like maybe it won’t totally blow. 0

Spider-man games to date have been mediocre at best, netting pretty low review scores. I personally fell in love with spider-mans 2 and 3 but I will at least admit that the first game was about as fun to play as being force-fed boiling hot porridge. So spider man games tried to break this trend with a crap-tastic kids game, spider-man: friend or foe. As you can tell by the description “crap-tastic”, it was fucking terrible. So here we are presented by a spider-man game that isn’t a movie game or a shitty kids game, it’s originally titled and the story is totally new. Promising? I think so. I was not paying much attention to the new game until this trailer from the san-diego comic-con. And now I will carefully track it’s every move… this game looks so terribly glorious I just cannot put it into words.
Keep an eye out for a symbiote-infected Wolverine right at the end, It’s fucking awesome.
I recommend following the link and watching it in HD over at gametrailers.com, it’s a very very pretty trailer.

A decent explanation of MK V.S. DC 0

I’m sure when this game was announced nobody knew what to expect, and that’s why I posted this video. It gives us a handy explanation of how this insane mash-up is going to play out. Gotta say, I’m not excited. Probably because I really dislike DC.

The Love Guru 0

Wow. this movie was absolute shit. I can’t believe people even thought it was good. I only managed to get 30 MINUTES IN and then i stopped watching. I couldn’t deal with how terrible it was. It’s not even worth seeing for free, like i did.

Mike Myers just isn’t funny in this. He was hilarious in Austin Powers and a few other movies but definitely not in this.

I give the Love Guru
/ 10

Thats right, new ranking on EW. IT FUCKING BOMBED.

Get Smart 0

A lot of you probably don’t know this, but the Get Smart movie is based on a tv show from the 60s with the same name. Going into the Get Smart movie i had already seen almost the entire first season of the show(and had enjoyed it immensely). If you are going to go see this movie i recommend that you “obtain” a copy of the first season of the show, it makes the movie so much more enjoyable.

Coming into this movie i was scared for it and had absolutely no expectations. Steve Carrell has generally been terrible in movies except for a few exceptions(and The Office (US) is amazing of course). I was pleasantly surprised by how well he played Maxwell Smart because he didn’t seem like he would fit the part.

One thing they did a great job with was getting the standard “macho men” from our media to play the other agents. I recognized almost all of them and it just made the movie feel more realistic, because it’s those actors who we associate with being that time of man. I didn’t really think that the other agents would be macho men but it worked for the movie.

I don’t think someone who hadn’t seen the show would get a lot of jokes in this movie because they play on that a lot. The cone of silence from the original show is back but in a new form and so are a bunch of other awesome gadgets.

The Americans are going to HATE this movie i think. They are constantly mocked and made fun of. There is a great scene making fun of George Bush Jr. and how he responded to 9/11 which was absolutely hysterical.

This movie was a great pleasure to watch. I still found Wall-E, Hellboy II, Iron Man and especially Dark Knight to be more enjoyable but it was still very good. If you grew up watching the old tv show then you should definitely see this, it will bring back some good memories. I give this movie 7.8/10

Movies To See: August 1

Pineapple Express

Release: August 8th
Links: IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Wikipedia

Opinions:

Nowned: This looks like its going to be one of my favorite “Druggy Movies” and will probably become a classic in the drug culture. Seth Rogen looks great in this.

Mr.Wumpus: Wow, this looks legitimately hilarious and almost like it would have decent “slow” moments aswell. It’s like the birth of the stoner movie with a decent cast… Gotta say, being a rabid Seth Rogen fan, I’m excited.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Release: August 15th
Links: IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Wikipedia

Opinions:

Nowned: After the complete disappoint that was the last 3 movies it’s nice to see a new Star Wars based movie coming out to make up for it. I love the animation style that they use for the Clone Wars animated stuff.

Mr.Wumpus: Wow, looks sweet. Especially since I hated the last three star wars movies. I loved the animated series this movie is based on and I’m expecting this movie to be atleast worthy of going to see. First thing that comes to mind when watching this trailer though, is, how can Jabba the Hut reproduce? It must be a harrowing ordeal.
