A glorious day for game kind Comments

On the rain slick precipice of darkness: episode two releases today! Hallelujah!
I’m actually not in a writing mood right now to rant too much about how amazing it is. But I’ll just say that I am a HUGE PA fan and I love love loved (x3) the first game, and now today we are blessed with a sequel promising to be packed with even more amazing! I downloaded it this morning but there are far too many new releases out right now to manage ones time appropriately so I don’t assume that I will be able to finish this episode for quite a little while yet. As per usual the game can be bought from Greenhouse Games or downloaded on the XBLA for a very reasonable price (even cheaper than the first game.).

Here is the trailer.

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness is an episodic RPG-adventure game series set in the deranged 1920s universe of New Arcadia. Whether you’re a fan of the first installment or new to the series, you’ll be able to pick up and play Episode Two as a standalone experience. This time, armed with a new gardening implement and witty repartee, you rejoin Gabe and Tycho in searching for more clues and another place to live. Explore new areas, combat bigger, badder and stranger enemies, solve even more puzzles and move one step closer to unraveling the mystery hidden deep in the sinister heart of New Arcadia.

In Episode Two:
• The madcap Penny Arcade experience continues. Meet all-new characters from Mike Krahulik, see newly revealed strip favorites and read laugh-out-loud dialogue from Jerry Holkins.
• Pick up and play from any episode. Enjoy each self-contained story without having to play previous installments.
• Go crazy with a whole new level of customization. Even more options for you to design and develop your own character, seeing it come to life in 3D and in the comic-style 2D cut scenes.
• Play it safe or go insane! New difficulty settings put you in charge of the action.
• A deeper RPG-Adventure experience. Get into the game with more puzzles, areas to explore and levels to gain.

Plus, Episode Two has been enriched with Greenhouse’s own Nitrogen SDK, offering gamers new in-game rewards and Greenhouse community recognition. Click on “Triumphs & Standings” below for more information.
