I loves me some metal. I also loves me impressive instrument and genre bending. Like when that guy invented beat-boxing flute. That was incredible. That man from “Bella fleck and the flecktones” invented the “drum-tar”. The drummer from dredg played piano and drums simultaneously. Louis “Thunder Thumbs” Johnson picked up a bass and proceeded to dominate it like never seen before.

Such awesome things have happened from time to time. Awesome people play instruments awesomely or they do something with an instrument, obscure or mainstream, that has never been done before.

But this song. “Bramfatura” by an amazing metal band named “3″. Is by far the best and most amazing thing ever done with a guitar. And I challenge all those reading this to show me something more impressive. Keep in mind, that what Joey Eppard is performing a technique on this ACOUSTIC GUITAR called “slapping and popping” this is something that bassists do when they played their basses. This man is hitting the strings with his thumb “slapping” and then simultaneously picking strings on the backstroke “popping”. This is an incredible feat on a guitar because it is usually performed on a bass, which has 4 strings spaced very far apart and are thick as suspension cables. They can take the beating. This is like performing the “thousand hand slap” on spider’s web without breaking the strands.

And I have never seen anything like it before in my entire life.
