Nowned’s Music – Scottish Indie Rock

Well i’ve decided to continue the large amounts of posts about music with some of my own picks. I’m going to look at a genre that i just recently discovered and now love – Scottish Indie Rock.
The Twilight Sad

The Twilight Sad was the first of these bands that i discovered and probably my favorite. I even bought the Double Vinyl of their newest album, Forget The Night Ahead. Here are two of my favorite songs from that album. First off is Reflection Of The Television.
01 Reflection Of The Television
Second is another one of my favorite songs from the album, but the entire album is fantastic. Made To Disappear
04 Made To Disappear

Next up is…
We Were Promised Jetpacks

This was the second band that i discovered thanks to the fantastic blog called Bridging The Atlantic. They do sound a lot like The Twilight Sad but that definitely isn’t a bad thing. First up is their album These Four Wall’s Title Track, It’s Thunder And It’s Lightning
01 It’s Thunder And It’s Lightning
And an equally fantastic song, Roll Up Your Sleeves
03 Roll Up Your Sleeves

The last Scottish Indie Rock band that i’m going to highlight is called
Frightened Rabbit

Frightened Rabbit has a slightly different sound then the other two, but are also very good. Their newest album is called The Midnight Organ Fight and i found out about them via LastFM. The first song i’m going to highlight is I Feel Better
02 I Feel Better
Now the very last song i’m going to highlight hear is called Fast Blood and is absolutely fantastic. Oh, and it’s “about shagging”
04 Fast Blood

I hope you enjoyed this dive into Scottish Indie Rock! Let me know if you hated it, loved it, or if there is any other Scottish Indie Rock bands that we should be listening to!
