GM-Notify is a “highly Ubuntu 9.04 integrated Gmail Notifier” that is mainly written by Alexander Hungenberg. It takes advantage of the new and nice notify-osd and indicator-applet. Because of this it won’t work in any versions of Ubuntu older then Jaunty(aka 9.04) or any other Linux based operating systems(Unless you have managed to work in notify-osd and indicator-applet, of course).

You can download GM-Notify off of Launchpad. A .deb file is available for those of you who don’t want to compile any code
