McCain Doesn’t Know How Many Houses He Owns? 0

”I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain responded to a question posed by Politico, according to a story Thursday on the publication’s Web site. ”It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.”

Five great internet videos to stave off boredom 3 1

Here we go, here we go, here we go again.

1. The empire strikes Barack

An awesome, really long star wars parody done with the 2008 presidential election candidates.

2. Best pitch ever

Some Japanese pitcher throws the trickiest baseball pitch ever seen.

3. British radio show helps man dump cheating whore fiancee

The title really says it all, apparently this show is called “Danny dumps” and this guy helps people break up with other people. Good for him?

4. Black, on the inside

A clever video about a black man who has only white friends and doesn’t even know that he is black. Which he totally is. Watch him find out. (this was my favourite video of the week).

5. Minesweeper, the movie

Probably most of you have already seen this but oh well, it’s really good.

EA sports has a sense of humour? Apparently so. 1

EA sports themselves actually responds to someones video about a “taking a shot on water” glitch in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 game, the result is just priceless. Stole this from Digg, but I don’t care this video must be seen and is far more important than whether or not that monkey cage found it first.

Mr. Olberman is good at ripping people new assholes but this takes some sortof cake. 0

It’s just fantastic. Mcain fucking sucks.

Top 12 Webcomics 1

The posts below are in no particular order. Just because Theater Hopper is at the bottom of the list doesn’t mean its our least favorite. We figured it was too much work(and would cause way too much controversy) for us to put these in any particular order. So we didn’t. This is article is primarily written by Nowned, with a little co-writing by Mr. Wumpus.

#1 - Penny Arcade | Feed
I Hope You Like Text
Penny Arcade is, without a doubt, one of the most successful web comics out there. They have been making comics for over 10 years and at least in Mr. Wumpus’s opinion, are the best web comic on the internet bar-none. They have their own gaming expo, called PAX (Penny Arcade Exhibition), which is held in Seattle, Washington every year. They are the largest video game and various nerd-stuff exhibition in North America after E3 was downsized. They just released their own video game, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, and are going to be releasing more episodes in the future. They have released 5 books to dates, which are available in retail stores everywhere. The Penny Arcade web comic mainly focuses on video games, the video game industry and gamer culture in general. They post comics every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

#2 - XKCD | Feed
Substitute
XKCD is a web comic by Randall Munroe which he describes as “a web comic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language.” The comic is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial 2.5 License, which lets anyone use the comics for non commercial purposes as long as they give credit. XKCD is probably the most dugg web comic of them all as usually at least one of his comics reaches the front page every week. New comics are released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

#3 - Gone With The Blastwave | Feed
Cool
Gone With The Blastwave is probably the prettiest web comic out there(in Nowned’s opinion at least). The first few comics were actually painted on full sheets of canvas and then digitized. GTWB follows groups of clueless soldiers in a post apocalyptic world. Comics are posted randomly and rarely(but they should be posted more!)

#4 - Ctrl+Alt+Del | Feed
Here\'s Looking At You, Kid
There was a lot of controversy inside of Exploding Wumpus when i decided to include Ctrl+Alt+Del. Apparently a lot of the people here don’t really like it that much but this is my post so i can choose. Ctrl+Alt+Del is another gaming related web comic, like Penny Arcade. They also have an animated TV series of the same name. Ctrl+Alt+Del is one of the few web comics that tend to focus on long story arcs instead of single strip gags. New comics every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

#5 - Joe Loves Crappy Movies
The Dark Knight
This comic I have also only recently discovered. I’m not actually sure when it updates, it seems to be twice a week as far as I can tell. Two things that make me love this comic, excellent style and awesome parodies.

#6 - VGCats
Koopa!
VGCats(Short for Video Game Cats) is by the Canadian cartoonist Scott Ramsoomair. The comics often include video game based humor and satire towards the gaming industry. New comics are released randomly.

#7 - Abtruse Goose | Feed
Closed Timelike Curveball
Abtruse Goose is probably one of the nerdiest comics on this list but also one of my favorites. The comics tend to focus on math, physics and just nerdy stuff in general. The author has a thing for Angry Monkeys.

#8 - Cyanide and Happiness | Feed
You Want Some Ointment For That Sick Burn
Cyanide and Happiness is written by four authors, which is rather unusual for a web comic. The comics tend to use humor that mocks disabilities, rape, cancer, murder, suicide, necrophilia, pedophilia, sexual deviancy, sexually transmitted diseases, self-mutilation and violence. If any of that offends you i recommend you stay far away from this site. And /b/. They post new comics daily.

#9 - Indexed | Feed
Here\'s your $20, and we\'re glad you didn\'t cut off your feet.
Indexed is an extremely unique “web comic” by Jessica Hagy. I’m not sure whether i would classify this as a web comic but whatever. It’s on the list. Every “comic” is a funny graph, as ridiculous as that sounds.

#10 - My Life In A Cube | Feed
Darn You Gmail Chat
My Life In A Cube is a unique web comic that is about the author’s day at work(generally). They are made on scrap pieces of paper, napkins, post-it notes etc. New comics are released Monday through Thursday and occasionally Friday.

#11 - Theater Hopper
Boycott
Theater Hopper is a comic I learned of very recently and haven’t been a reader of for a long time, I enjoy this comic because it does a good job parodying just about every movie that comes out worth a mention, the art is good and the jokes are good. This comic is consistently funny and comes out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Definitely worth a read.

#12 - Exploding Wumpus | Feed
The Internet Kills
Ah shameless self promotion at its finest! While we are still relatively new, our readership has grown exponentially. Don’t think we deserve to be on this list? Well it’s already a really long list so we might as well throw in our own just to let people know. You probably haven’t read us before, so here’s your chance. Comics are posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday

new weekly segment: People getting hurt Vol.1 0

I just had a brainwave. Over at one of my favourite video websites clipaday.com exists literally hundreds of great clips of people being stupid and eating pain for it. So the idea was basically that I will collect you 5 videos of people feeling the cold hard sting of consequence and you will watch them. Every Thursday from now on I will post this along with the article about decent length internet videos. A good contrast I believe. This post was posted on a saturday but I will from now on post it on a thursday.

1. Trains are faster than semis

2. Watch out lady, those guys right there are mini-golfing

3. Ice, not snow

4. Wrestler needs a chair, gets 600

5. Is that a hot bullet casing in your pants or are you just?… oh, you’re burning

Honorable mention: Person who almost got hurt.

Don’t Shoot the Wockets 0

What happens when a little kid joins your Gmod server? Do you boot him? No. You record him and turn it into a movie trailer. Got it from here. These lit fuse film fellows do some rather professional work.

New Music 1

Heres some new music I’ve stumbled upon these past few weeks, the majority of it is indie rock/pop.

First off id like to start with one of my personal favorites, The Friendly Fires. Every time i listen to them they just seem to get better and better. One thing I really like about The Friendly Fires is that all their songs sound nothing like the next. The Friendly Fires first album is due to be released on September 1st 2008 so you’ll have to be patient. If you want to here more you can check them out on their Myspace page or on Last.fm.

Friendly Fires -Jump In The Pool

Secondly, Sea Wolf. You may or may not have heard of them as they are not that “new” but they are also not very popular. I must say they are starting to catch on to me one of their hit songs “Your a Wolf” is especially catchy and I cant stop listening to it. So far they have only released one album called “Leaves In The River” (I cannot find it anywhere) which you can listen to on their Myspace page or their Last.fm page.

Sea Wolf - Your A Wolf

Lastly and most definitely one of my favorite bands, so young and talented these guys are amazing. The Bombay Bicycle Club which in my opinion really grasp the emotion that music should. Its not just one of those bands that sound like all of the other ones, they truly have developed a style unlike any other. You can give them a listen on their Myspace or Last.fm page.

Bombay Bicycle Club - Early Morning

Enjoy.
