I don’t even know how to start. er- Since I am subscribed to peta e-mails as every good citizen who kind of thinks they should protect nature, but at the same time don’t care enough to do very much about it but read about how other people do it, I’ve got a rather interesting letter today. “Help Battle Seal Slaughterers in World of Warcraft!” was the line i spotted before routinely closing the window. WHOA. All I can say is you can find the information once you click a link above.

I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry, but all the same, I’m kind of proud of all the people who come up with new interesting ideas and ways to promote what they believe in.  

PS the coments there are rather silly.

Those limited editions though are rumored to have a bigger hard drives and possibly few stat increases.

According to the sources, the rumor will be investigated further, as at the moment there are no definite details. But then again, other things like pegging the announcement of DirectX 11 and cutbacks were said by Microsoft to be “exaggerated”.

  I suppose we shall see.

One of the basis of their announcement was an event that occured a week after the new expansion came out. A 15-year-old boy from western Sweden collapsed and went into convulsions on Sunday afternoon after playing the World of Warcraft for 20 hours straight. After the even was made public, thousands of parental calls were made to the association. The foundation says that in 2007, it received 2,000 calls to its addiction helpline, 170 of which concerned computer games. Presumably, all 170 calls involved World of Warcraft. According to their speaker she has seen a “steady rise in computer game addiction, with most cases stemming from those playing online fantasy games such as World of Warcraft and Counter Strike.”

WoW might not be just a game, it might be laced with drugs, which evil Blizzard enforces on our children. For parents of those, I have two words: “Parental Control”. Don’t blame the game, blame yourself. As a responsible parent, you should learn that your child plays World of Warcraft beforehand, not postfactum. Especially if you’re the one paying for it. Then, don’t leave it hanging and set up parental controls on your child’s account, don’t assume a 15-year-old would know the limits. Pay attention to what your kid is doing before they collapse in epileptic shock.

Therefore I decided to enlighten those who like Unreal Tournament and would want to try the above mentioned things on Steam for free this weekend. Well, today being the last day, I assume.

The bill was basically dedicated to their recent 10 year anniversary , and their Child Play charity that raised $4.5 million for children’s hospitals across America.

The amazing fact that this bill  has passed the retarded-ly complicated American law-making system fascinates me, as people in both houses of American Goverment are aware of Penny Arcade and care enough to give them this “gift” of recognition.

Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik must feel rather special, and I don’t blame them, as much as recognition from the American Goverment might not be all that important or “cool”, I cannot say that any one passed a bill in my name.

I found this pretty sweet but very unfair that people who work at movie/ game stores can own the game before it is released because the store will have it in stock and just let the workers buy it when they get it the only thing is they have to pay for it on the release date or else they could be caught for releasing a game before its out.

July 10 (Bloomberg) — Konami Corp., the Japanese creator of the “Dance Dance Revolution” music video game, sued Viacom Inc.‘s Harmonix studio, claiming its “Rock Band” game violates patents.

The Konami patents, issued in 2002 and 2003, relate to simulated musical instruments, a music-game system and a “musical-rhythm matching game.” Konami also makes the “Karaoke Revolution” music game with microphones, as well as the “Metal Gear Solid” espionage game.

“Rock Band,” the game in which players emulate rock and rollers with toy instruments, drove a 16 percent increase in first-quarter revenue at New York-based Viacom’s media networks business. Konami’s Digital Entertainment unit said in May it plans to begin selling its own rock band game, called “Rock Revolution,” later this year.

Konami is demanding cash compensation, plus an order that would block Viacom and Harmonix from using the inventions, according to the complaint, filed yesterday in federal court in Marshall, Texas. The suit names Harmonix Music Systems, Viacom, and Viacom’s MTV Networks Co., which owns Harmonix…..

A car plows into a crowd of bicyclists participating in a race on a highway near the U.S.-Mexico border.

The 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race, said police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez.

A photograph taken by a city official showed bicyclists and equipment being hurled high into the air by the collision.

Rodriguez said Juan Campos was charged with killing Alejandro Alvarez, 37, of Monterrey.

Authorities said the wreck happened 15 minutes into the 34-kilometer (21 mile) race Sunday along a highway between Playa Bagdad and Matamoros, across from Brownsville, Texas.

Campos said he is an American citizen living in Brownsville. The U.S. Consulate could not immediately confirm that.

“We are looking into the incident in terms of whether American citizens were involved,”

I will just mention that I have not yet played it. I am currently downloading the demo and if it is fun (as I assume it will be) I will buy the game and hopefully do a review so you can all get an idea what it’s like. I am expecting to have lots of fun even if its just because I am a huge PA fan myself.

You notice that all the conversation appearing in the game is not done through voice acting but through a comic book panel that appears at the bottom half of the screen to display the text. What a brilliant idea.
